When I was a little girl, I recall my Mom teaching me to make pot holders made on a metal loom.   She encouraged me to go door to door selling them to our rural Pennsylvania neighbors for fifty cents.  That was my first experience as a budding entrepreneur.  Since then I have made a career of working for myself.   I attended the Dean-Traut Floral Designer in New York City, opened up several flower shops, which included balloon decor and singing telegrams.   After attending a balloon convention in San Francisco, I decided to  to turn my interests toward the party and event planning business specializing in bar and bat mitzvahs, weddings and corporate events.

After doing this for many years, my husband and I decided to move to Alaska to escape the rat race.  While living there for eight years, I changed careers to include web design and business marketing, Living on a remote Island can be a challenge but it gave me a source of inspiration from nature in my paintings, photography, fountains, dream catchers, jewelry and other whimsical pieces of art that I create.  I enjoy the outdoors and did a lot of beach combing as well as hiking and gardening while living in Southeast Alaska, where a whole different style of life exists.

I have always loved to paint so I studied oil and watercolor with local artists. I used my photographs of nature as my inspiration. With all the beautiful scenery everywhere you look, how could I not want to share it through my photographs and paintings. With nature as my teacher and inspiration, I want my paintings and photographs to make you feel like you are there within the scene. I want you to enjoy my works of art as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Presently, I find myself back in the rat race and loving the sunshine of California. My surroundings have continued to inspire me especially photographing this resilient peopled space. I love to capture the expressions and features of young, aspiring actors as well as the interesting places they frequent.
