Commonly called
Cow Parelsy or Celery, the stawks are edible and actually
taste like celery. The plant emerges in the early spring,
with shoots that look similar to a green fetus. As the warm
rays of sun warm the earth in springtime, the flower emerges
looking a lot like a giant fQueen Ann's Lace flower. When
the summer nears its end, the flowers turn into green seeds
with a very pungent smell to them. Old folk lure claims the
seeds were used for tea to prevent sea sickness.
