Chives thrive in the temperate climate of the Island. Other
plants that do well are lettuce, onions, radishes, spinach
and other cool weather greens. Potatoes do well also and have
been know to be planted in nothing but seaweed to yield the
best tasting spuds in the land. Container gardening and raised
beds are a popular way to grow flowers and vegetables for
adequate drainage.
