Matthew Blackwood is an aspiring singer, songwriter, and actor. He has performed in major theatrical productions like "Peter Pan" while attending Roosevelt School of the Performing arts. While there he also studied tap dancing, stage, and improvisation. In terms of community theatre he has perfomed for several productions most notably as Filch the beggar in Nicole Yacavetti's, "Three Penny Opera." While the production recieved a lukewarm response the local paper stated that "along with Ron Geist, Filch played by Matthew Blackwood, provided the only energy in the show!"

In terms of musical accomplishments Matthew has recorded professionally and written a dozen original songs. He wrote and provided the lead and background vocals for a recent demo entitled "Overdrive." Future aspirations include continuing to grow as an artist and begin to understand more in depth the business side of the industry so that he can have staying power
