Another beautiful day ends with a glowing sunset as the sun
drops behind Fishegg Island. This island, in years gone by,
was the place where Natives gathered to collect fisheggs in
the early spring. They would place Hemlock branches in the
water and wait for the herring to lay eggs on them. It's considered
a delicacy among the Tlingit and Haida tribes that populate
the Island.
